Snow White, daughter of one of the most prominent ranchers in the area, claims her stepmother is trying to kill her. Dalton Prince- the owner of the cabin she takes up residence in thanks to a passing storm- thinks she's a little soft in the head. It's no matter though, he can just return her to her family, no harm done. But the young woman, it would seem, has other plans entirely. She claims she can't go home and she has every intention of staying with Dalton to help him raise the seven boys he's taken in over the years. They're her purpose now.

Still Dalton will do whatever it takes to return the young woman to where she belongs- under the care of her father and stepmother who can keep an eye on their addlebrained charge. Except as he's met with trouble from every side he starts to wonder who is telling the truth in all of this and just how much trouble this strange but attractive young woman will bring upon him, his boys, and up until now his somewhat ordered life.
