I grip my pen with a bit more intensity and shut my eyes tighter. My legs bounce up and down as I wait for the hurricane of memories to pass and leave me nothing, but emptiness.
"Cal what are you doing?" Michael shakes me.
"Just writing" I open my eyes and then shut them again, when I realize no matter how many times I close my eyes, she'll never be there when I open them.
"Writing about what?" He presses on.
"About how it felt-" I pause, choosing my words carefully. Michael loved her just as much as I did. Hell, just as much as we all did.
"About how it felt, learning to love her"
