How would you feel when the world you grew up in crashed and burned? What if you were tossed into one that was all about survival? Would you persevere? Or would you crumble? I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Somehow it feels like some sort of imaginary relief to my reality. As if, the pain I feel only exists until the words are free. MIRACLE (✔️)
"My mother named me Miracle, but I am anything but a miracle in her and our family's life. I am a mistake. I am a product of a heinous crime." Miracle Astor was born after the rape of her mother. Aurora Astor was convinced by everyone in her family to have an abortion when she found out that her assault had resulted in a child, but much to everyone's shock, Aurora kept the child, and after a long and excruciating labor, on her last breath, she said the word Miracle, which became her daughter's name. After Aurora died giving birth to her daughter, little Miracle was left under the care of her brothers, all of whom blamed her for the tragedy that happened to their mother. How dare you admire the beauty around you while disregarding the magnificence that flows through your veins. Believe me when I say that you are royalty, thunderstorms are afraid of your power.
