Can We Fall, One More Time?
What happens when the love you want... is the love that destroys you? Allison Elisse is a dream - a top achiever, a vocalist on a band, the kind of girl you just believe, will have the easy way to success- not because of connection, but just because she has what it takes to be everything, if she wants to. She was the kind of girl people will either admire or hate because they are jealous. The kind of girl that is admire but rarely approaches, because she is untouchable, composed, destined for something greater- someone you won't believe, you will ever have. Until she met Lucas. The man who would dim the shining star. The man who would turn her world upside down. The kind of boy that will break you, just to build them; the one who would change you, to feel deserving of you. Their story didn't begin beautifully, nor it begin the right way- but it began with meaning. She loved deeply. Completely. But consuming. emotionally draining. The kind of love that gives without limits- until there's nothing more to give. The kind of love that will turn a perfect girl into a pity. Lucas loved her too- in the only way he knew how. Protective. Obsessive. destructive. A kind of love that holds too tight, without realizing that love should never come at the cost of losing one's worth. Still, Allison chose him. Even when she knew better. Even when it started to dim her, until there is nothing left but darkness. And Lucas, he endured it all. Until he is nothing but a shadow of Allison. Until his whole identity is shaped to fit her world. A love that went too far, felt too deeply. Then it broke them, neither of them knew how to heal. Now, with one drowning and the other slowly dying, they try to hold on to something that might already be beyond saving. Will a love that destroys them be saved just because the love was real? Or are they just two people caught in the wrong kind of love, hit by cupid's wrong arrow?Complete
