Pauline Parrott has always been observant. However, she lives next to a boy named Nash Grier who she can never seem to read. He bullies, her, but not in the way you think: he uses his words.
The words are very degrading to women, but when another mysterious boy with an even more mysterious past comes to town, she gets torn between either figuring out Nash or figuring out the new guy. They both annoy her to the brink of tearing her hair out, but she can't help but be drawn to them. Their personas are intoxicating and Pauline can't decide which to choose.
