*COMPLETE* Allayria promised to do what it takes to stop the Jarles, to make the ugly decision. She thinks, at last, she understands what the dynast meant. The lesson earned from the top of that lonely cliff and given the dark murky water below.

It's time to put the rotting thing in its drawer.

Paragon - Book I de azimodo
51 partes Concluida
*COMPLETE* There are whispers across the kingdoms that the Paragon, that strangely gifted person who can wield all four Skills, has been found. They're wrong, of course. No one has caught the Paragon. Allayria should know: she's it. But Allayria doesn't want to be the Paragon, and in her pursuit of freedom she finds herself enmeshed in a web of lies, caught in a group who might be even more dangerous than she could have imagined. Still, she's not the only one who has problems: bigger tides of change and danger are shifting across the world she has been assigned to protect. The Jarles, a kingdom in the east, has begun moving across its borders, and there are strange murmurings about what they have done, and where all the children they abducted have gone. Faced with responsibilities she never wanted, and a life she thought she could never have, Allayria must decide how she will help--and if she will be the Paragon at all. _____________________ WIP Cover art and written work by Azi. Highest ranking: #66 in Fantasy 2/3/2018 Hi everyone! Thanks a ton for taking the time to read Paragon. I'm so excited to share it with you, and to hear your feedback, theories, and insight. It's just me, myself, and I on this one (no beta) so if you catch any errors or inconsistencies, give me a shout--it will be much appreciated. The plan is to release a new chapter each weekend until we reach the end. - Azi Note: violence, sexual themes, and some coarse language will appear in Paragon.

The Bovi people have never been accepted. Marked by traits that set them apart from the rest of humanity, they are shunned, feared, and branded as monsters. Denied peace and survival, they are forced into the shadows, relying on acts of terror to strike back at a world that would see them erased. Their resistance, desperate and violent, ignites a war with a powerful neighboring empire. Into this storm steps Vespera, a young soldier fresh from training, loyal to her Emperor and determined to prove herself. But the battlefield is nothing like the order and honor she was promised. She finds herself caught in the blood-soaked middle ground, where assassinations, ambushes, and massacres are tools of survival-and no side's hands are clean. As the war escalates, Vespera is pulled deeper into the gray spaces between duty and morality. The Bovi fight for existence, the Empire for dominance, and she is forced to bear witness to the corruption of ideals she once believed unshakable. Her faith in the Emperor-revered as incorruptible and just, begins to waver with every shadowed truth revealed. Now, Vespera must choose: remain the loyal soldier and blind herself to the blood on her hands, or risk everything to confront the possibility that the true monster may not be the Bovi at all... but the very Empire she swore to protect.
