"Somehow, it struck me as funny that while Blane was down there busy being a Somebody, I was up here trying to preserve my status as a Nobody. So naturally, I burst out laughing. In the middle of Blane's speech. In a silent auditorium."

When Lily's parents died she didn't cry. Mostly because everyone dies anyway, partly because they sent her postcards from their fabulous vacations instead of taking her. But when Lily finds herself living with her aunt in her childhood neighborhood, she finds herself wishing she had been the one getting hit by the drunk driver.
Lily may be unconventional, she may be cold-hearted, and she may be alone, but what she really is, is Nobody.
Read on as Lily handles loss, love, and lost love, all while keeping a smirk on her face.
