ALTERNATE ENDING TO THE ORIGINALS SERIES FINALE
(This story will contain spoilers to The Originals series finale...DUH)
Klaus made a promise a long time ago... "He's your first love, I intend to be your last." I want Klaus to be able to keep that promise.
I was left SO unsatisfied with the way that The Originals ended things with Klaus. I invested in Klaus and his story, especially since I watched the majority of both the Vampire Diaries and The Originals as they were released. One of my biggest ships in The Vampire Diaries was Klaroline. I loved the character relationship and always thought the two of them deserved more than they got together. With the series finale of TO, we got to see part of what could have been if Klaus hadn't died. I want to give that storyline a chance.

Have you ever heard the saying I love you so much it hurts? I always thought that it was just that, a saying, to emphasize how you feel for someone. It wasn't till I met the love of my life, Niklaus Mikaelson, that that so call saying slapped me right between the eyes. To feel that much passion towards a person not only results in happiness, it also brings pain. Extreme pain. The type of pain that cripples you and no matter how hard or far you run from it, it never leaves. But despite this, I stayed with him for the better part of 500 years. Because in my mind, the happy times outweighed all that torture. I could have everything I ever wanted. He, Elijah, Rebekah, Kol, Finn, and I were a family. But over the years, my family's love for each other slowly soured and turned to hate, and suddenly the happy times weren't worth the agony. So I left, I ran, and I never stopped. Klaus and Caroline. Klaroline if you will. Caroline had everything she wanted. Or at least she thought she did. A few years had passed since Klaus left Mystic Falls and Caroline hasn't been the same. Caroline and Tyler had gotten back together and everything seemed fine until they get an unexpected visitor from New Orleans. What will Caroline do when both Klaus and Tyler want her. Who will she choose. A few things to note in my story because I can't be normal: 1. The plot is different after season 4. 2. A few years had passed. 3. Klaus and Hayley never did it and Hope doesn't exist. 4. Klaus and Caroline never met again in season five. 5. Bonnie never died. 6. The originals show never happened. 7. Caroline is my favorite character. 8. I'm a newish writer and still learning so please give me feedback. 9.
