Sojuro Kiana is beautiful, successful and famous, living a pleasant life while doing her dream job. She hides painful scars and a secret behind her warm smile, so appearing as nothing more than ordinary to those around her.

But her impulsive bravery to venture into a place where she knew she shouldn't be loitering costs her greatly. An unexpected run in with an Arrancar throws her into a world much different from her own and with powers she didn't know existed. Unsettled about the sudden change in her life but brave and determined, she sets off on a journey across the lands in search of a way back home.

She meets many people on her journey who become friends and family, growing bonds she lost many years ago and stirring within her the desire to protect them with the power she has. There are some who leave a deeper mark than others in her heart though, so strong and dear that it blossoms into something unforgettable and impossible to let go of. But there are enemies and obstacles to face, dark and dangerous missions to accomplish and a helping hand to be offered to those in need, all while trying to hold on tightly to what's precious.

It is not long before Kiana realizes that she's at the crossroads of her life and has to make a tough choice between her past and present - remain in the Alchemy World with the one she has come to love with all her heart or return to her world and lose him and the precious bonds she has finally gained forever.
