Paper Skin

You dare not speak when they stumble by, you dare not read the letters on their skin, and if a piece of them falls, you dare not pick it up. You may watch but it may not be in your best interest, you may find yourself imagining their memories as you sound out the syllables inside your head. If you do catch yourself reading the ink that covered their paper skin, only then do they return your attention, and when that happens. You better run the other way.... before you have the same paper skin as they.
