"Aveline!" She heard them shout in the distance. Their voices getting carried by the wind; making them sound so close. 

 She had to run faster; but the exhaustion was slowly seeping in. The reality of her dwindling adrenaline planted panic in her heart. She needed to do something and fast. It's not in her nature to give up, at least not without a fight.  

 She promptly combed the area surrounding her; looking for an escape. She quickly came to the realization that she only had one option.
