Sophia Rose Peterson and Ryan Edward Mason: the two cute little three year olds running around that had been best friends since birth. At age 10, Sophia had to move away from San Mateo, California, to New York, New York because of a big job Mr. Peterson got. Now, Sophia and Ryan are 16 years old and Mr. and Mrs. Peterson want to visit Greece for the summer. Sophia stubbornly refuses to go with them, and her parents have no choice but to let her stay with a close relative. Unfortunately, all of Sophia’s relatives are dead. Mrs. Peterson brings up the Mason’s, and Sophia is happy as ever to see Ryan again. However, Ryan isn’t happy at all. He holds a grudge against her… for what? Turns out, they’ve both changed, without noticing it ever since they were 13, when they stopped sending each other letters. Sophia is the super hot, popular girl, and Ryan is the emo bad boy. Since Sophia was 9 she’s always thought that one day, her and Ryan will grow up and marry each other because they were perfect for each other. Well, maybe she was wrong.
