Ellie Young was given one task - to find a book listing all the names of powerful people who've gone into hiding since the Secret Rebellion took over. Her father died protecting its whereabouts, now it is Ellie's turn to finish the job and retrieve the book. If only to save her life. 

But finding the book is a more dangerous adventure than she ever anticipated. One that gets her swept up in the New Government's rebuilding scheme and forces her to undermine everything her father ever taught her. 

Her quest takes an unexpected turn, when she meets the cunning and handsome Matthew - a boy that gets Ellie caught up in a feud she desperately doesn't want to be in. With her life on the line, she must learn to navigate a destroyed city and the rules of a newly formed corrupt government, or she might just end up losing her life.
