DESCRIPTION 
    My father thought that every woman needed to know self-defense, I was no exception. However, he did forget to teach me how to defend my heart, a mistake that would cost me greatly. I hadn't known him for long, we met during boot camp, I know, not that romantic but it's true. They never allowed women to join the army, they strongly believed that we should either stay at home and help from the comfort of our home or become nurses helping on the front lines. I didn't want that, I wanted to help by any means necessary.

It wasn't normal to see a girl in the military. As far as I knew the only girl, excuse me woman, was Peggy Carter. It had always been my dream to join the army and I did it. Finally. I ended up in the same unit as Steve Rogers and James Buchanan Barnes. Being a soldier wasn't exactly what I expected tho... I decided to write this story because I've always wanted to join the army myself, but I can't and I love Captain America.
