A girl and her Horse
A story about a young teen meeting up with a strange creature who acts much like their horse. They deal with many strange things, including getting her 'horse' back home. Make no mistake, this isn't your usual Bronco, or even a Ford for that matter. This story was originally co-written back in 2012, with the original co-writer passing away in 2016. Saving Grace
"Dance with me." While I knew it wasn't a demand, it wasn't a question either. I hesitated and he noticed. "Come on Grace, give this gentleman the honor of a dance." "I don't see a gentleman anywhere." He chuckled, stepping closer and tucking his thumbs into his tight jean pockets. He looked like every woman's dream--dark jeans that hugged him sinfully, golden-tanned skin contrasted by his white-fitted shirt, a black, wide-brimmed cowboy hat, and a smile that could send any woman on her knees. Not to mention a voice that coated your skin like silk sheets. I hated how much I noticed. "You're right, but I would like the honor anyway... ma'am." ********************* Meet Grace--living the city life, reserved, eager to please, loyal to a fault. Feeling empty for reasons she's not yet sure of, she's adamant on chasing anything that makes her feel free. Meet Colt--living the country life, private, stubborn, outspoken. Feeling empty for reasons he's well aware of, he hides in his daily routine. Grace can't seem to figure out why she holds nothing back when it comes to Colt. He's absolutely infuriating. Colt can't seem to understand the affect Grace has on him, and why he cares what she does. She's entirely maddening. When the two get lost in the wilderness, it's up to Colt to get them back. Can they put their differences aside long enough to survive? Is it Colt who will save Grace, or is it she who will be his saving grace? A short story written for the Red Feather Award Summer 2019 Writing Contest. @RedFeatherAward Also a first draft- The gates between the world has been opened. Creatures long forgotten have been released. Creatures good... and evil. Creatures seeking revenge. Grizela West (Griz) is definitely not normal. She doesn't even look human, which led to her being thrown out of home at an early age. After accidently killing a person (she closed a lid on a bin that was later emptied with a man inside), she is on the run from everything she has known for most of her life. The people who she has grown up with, who has helped her, are hunting her. They aren't the only ones. A being, one of those who has been imprisoned until being released, wants revenge. It won't stop until it dies, or until those who it hunts is dead. After finding a scent that is different but similar to its own, and to those it hunts, it will search far and near for the owner.Complete

He was charming, cocky, attractive, knew the right words to say, there for her when nobody else was, but seems to have the personality of a player. could this guy, who seems like a player, actually help her? In a land far away, lived Morphers and Shapeshifters. Morphers were people who could morph into one animal, and Shapeshifters all animals. Royalty, people who lived in the center region of the land, could morph into four animals. There were six regions. One was the snowy, one the forest, one the beach, and one the plains. Those were four of the six. Then, there was the Shapeshifters land, filled with hills, and the royal land. The royal land was very posh, and the queen lived there. The Shapeshifters were getting very powerful through the days. The queen told them of a story to the people of the land."The Shapeshifters have been hiding a truth. They came to this land as robbers, robbing all of our things. So, I came to the land to stop them. The Shapeshifters are becoming really powerful, and they pose as a threat once again," she would tell the people. People got scared. When the Shapeshifters came to visit them, they would freeze in fear. The queen took action. She separated the land. The Shapeshifters were kicked out of the land. Only some remained in the hills, hidden. Though the people didn't realize that their queen wasn't telling the truth. In fact, the story was the other way around. The queen was the one who stole the land. She took over the land and the Shapeshifters surrendered. *** One day, two young twins were born in those hills. Those two girls, were going to make things right.Complete
