Katsuki ends up in the hospital (again) which isn't too out of the ordinary in his line of work as pro hero Ground Zero. All would have been fine if he hadn't opened his eyes and met with forest green ones peering back. It had been 10 years since he'd seen those damn emerald whirlpools swimming with tears as he told the younger boy that he "didn't care about him, that a quirkless loser like him wouldn't amount to anything and he was gonna be too busy being the best hero to ever come back." 10 long years of regret, damaged pride and pining come rising the the surface.

This is about a universe where Izuku never becomes a hero but saves lives as a Nurse instead, Katsuki is injured after a battle and ends up in the hospital Izuku works at.

~hi all this is my first ever "official" fic I've written so please be kind to me! Feel free to leave writing advice since I've not really come up with a full story before. Midoriya Izuku was ambitious. He always pushed until he fell. He never gave up, not once did he fall and stay down. Not even when his idol told him that his dream was illogical--that in reality he will only get in the way. So he made a set of recordings and set up an anonymous channel. He approached many people and asked them variants of the same question: "Can a quirkless person become a hero?" No matter the answer though, he was broken inside. His dreams and hopes were shattered a long time ago. But he isn't ready to take a swan dive just yet. He wants to meet one person who will tell him that he is not useless. That he can be a hero. And after that moment, he will decide if he's ready to take a swan dive off the roof of a building or not. Some of the chapters will be quite triggering. I will put a warning beside each chapter title that includes detailed descriptions of triggering topics. The characters do not belong to me, only the plot.
