Katsuki ends up in the hospital (again) which isn't too out of the ordinary in his line of work as pro hero Ground Zero. All would have been fine if he hadn't opened his eyes and met with forest green ones peering back. It had been 10 years since he'd seen those damn emerald whirlpools swimming with tears as he told the younger boy that he "didn't care about him, that a quirkless loser like him wouldn't amount to anything and he was gonna be too busy being the best hero to ever come back." 10 long years of regret, damaged pride and pining come rising the the surface.

This is about a universe where Izuku never becomes a hero but saves lives as a Nurse instead, Katsuki is injured after a battle and ends up in the hospital Izuku works at.
