He walked through the cafe doors with three men with him. They wore black suits and the aura around them illuminated them from the crowd. All eyes were on them. "Marry me, Cassie. Fulfill the promise you made to me. Become the demon's bride." His voice was deep, laced with something ancient, something unbreakable. He stepped closer, his burning crimson eyes never leaving hers. Her breath hitched. Her heart pounded in her chest, fear and something unexplainable tangling together. "And if I refuse?" she whispered. A smirk curled on his lips, dark and knowing. "Then I will make you ready... but you will marry me." She wanted to call him insane, to tell him he had the wrong person. But the way he looked at her-like he had waited lifetimes just for this moment-shook her to her core. He spoke of promises she didn't remember, of a past she couldn't recall. Yet, something inside her ached at his words, a strange sense of déjà vu wrapping around her like a ghostly embrace. What happens when a demon claims you as his lost lover, swearing that you once vowed to marry him?
