Coraline is dieing because of a supposed gonorrhea case. She's to die by twelve but she speeds up the process by jumping out of the window and landing hand first in the floor.
Somehow when her spirit comes out of her body she has no idea who the dead body is or where she is. And that's when she meets Death.
Death takes her to the Underworld to judge her. But seeing she's too beautiful to be left to wile away for eternity. He decides to take her for a bride.
This is like a repeat of Hades/ Persephone

This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy). "I've told you, Hades, I can not become your mistress." she sadly told him. She had always lived in her mother's shadow, and if she followed Hades, she would once again be living in another's shadow. Even though she loved him, she did not think she could stomach it. "I do not want you to be my mistress, Persephone, I want you to be my queen," he confessed to her. She snapped her head up to meet his eyes, searching for any sign he wanted to take his words back, but there was no remorse. And just like that, she fell ever so slightly more in love with him. "Your queen?" she asked, she had to be sure. Strangely the word had slid off her tongue gracefully as if it had belonged there. Daughter of Hades
We all know the story of how Hades's kidnapped Persephone from her mother and his sister Demeter, brought her to the Underworld and tricked her by eating a Pomegranate that forces her to spend half the year in the Underworld with him. While Persephone may have been reluctant to be with the King of The Underworld at first, she slowly grew to love it and her husband. Hades being the most hated God received a curse from Persephone father, Zeus, that any child Hades and Persephone had together would destroy the world as we know it. Neglecting to tell his young wife this Persephone becomes pregnant. Excited to tell her husband about the news when she gets back to the underworld, her mother let's her know of the curse that Zeus has put on the child. Demeter urges her to be rid of the child, but Persephone, Goddess of Fertility denies the request and hides her pregnancy from all. Once Persephone has the child Zeus and Hades find out, so she asks Athena and Aphrodite for protection of the beautiful little girl. They counteract the little girls curse by providing the girl with a future love so strong, it will kill the darkness inside of her. This is the story of that girl, Helena, Daughter Of Hades.Complete
