Varney el vampiro (Varney the Vampire) -a veces publicada como Varney el vampiro o el festín de sangre (Varney the Vampire, or the Feast of Blood)- es una novela de vampiros del escritor inglés James Malcolm Rymer (1814-1884), publicada por entregas entre 1845 y 1847.
Además de ser un clásico de la novela gótica, Varney el vampiro es también el ejemplo más importante del Penny Dreadful; aquellos folletines de muy baja calidad en términos de papel e impresión, pero que también fueron los verdaderos precursores de las revistas pulp del siglo XX, como Argosy o Weird Tales.
En otras palabras, así como en la actualidad la gente sigue de cerca sus series favoritas en Netflix, los victorianos hacían lo propio con el Penny Dreadful.
Con sus 220 capítulos, divididos en 868 columnas dobles, Varney el vampiro recién adquirió el formato de novela de 1847, donde se eliminaron muchos episodios superfluos. Al ser una historia por entregas, y de tamaña envergadura, no es fácil dar cuenta del argumento de la novela; aunque de hecho podemos resumir algunas características.
Si bien hubo varios intentos de traducir a Varney el vampiro al español, generalmente se trata de proyectos particulares hechos por fanáticos de la historia. Lamentablemente, no hay versiones oficiales en español disponibles gratuitamente en la web.All Rights Reserved

This is a dark vampire/lycan/witch romance + action novel (with some magic, some sex, and a lot of blood and gore) that I started writing ten years ago when I was in high school. It started as a darker version of Twilight, but I was influenced strongly by Underworld, Teen Wolf, Bitten, Vampire Diaries, and The Secret Circle. As the first of likely three novels, this is complete (but I will probably edit a hundred more times lol) and I am currently working on the second one! The Photo I used for the cover was taken by Fogbreath in 2007. I was unable to find the photographer to ask if I could use the photo, but at least it had their name on it and I can give them credit.

It made his body dissapear and reappear in the same spot he was born in. He took his heart out. He grew one back. He bled out. His blood regenerated. He used silver stakes. They burned his flesh. He overdosed. It did nothing since drugs, alcohol and other dangerous things do absolutely nothing to him, except get him under the influence to a certain level. But none of them filled the emptiness in his heart. He just needed her. But all he got were unimportant girls he used and forgot about. He never felt anything for them. He couldn't. But then on that day while he was walking around a small town's forest, he felt the emptiness slowly being filled up a bit. He stood there in shock. He couldn't believe it. He almost cried of happiness, right then and there. He had her. He had a mate. His mate. His one and only mate. His Queen.
