Adrien and Marinette talk to each other using an app called "Kwami" but don't know that they are each other because of an 'Online Mask', under the names Ladybug and Chat Noir. All they know is that the other goes to the same school and that they are in the same year level. When "Chat Noir" invites "Ladybug" to the school Masquerade ball as his date, Marinette must decide whether she is ready to meet Chat Noir in person and risk exposing who she truly is.
