Living The Secret Life of An American Teenager (Paused)

Mckayla ‘Kayla’ Knight is your average sixteen year teenage girl. She attends a very well educated high school, River Ridge, has some amazing friends, has a loving, protective older brother, has her driver’s license, owner of a teal blue 1997 Honda, and she thought she had an amazing boyfriend. But on her and her boyfriend’s fourth month anniversary, Xavier, Kayla’s boyfriend, demanded her to sleep with him. (If she didn't, Xavier was gonna do bad things to her). So, in the end, her and Xavier break up and Kayla thinks her life is back in order—no more having to worry about where her boyfriend is and what’s he doing. So she thinks everything’s back to normal and she promised herself she’s gonna stay single for the next few months or so. In June, Kayla, Caleb, and Darien are invited to a friend’s party and Kayla ends up almost being raped by Marcos Hoffman. But, Caleb rides in on his horse and rescues her. And then a few days later, Darien and Kayla’s aunt and uncle come into town and demand Kayla to come live with them because Darien isn't taking enough responsibility for Kayla. So Kayla unwillingly moves to Texas with her aunt and uncle. Over the next school year, Caleb and Darien finish up their high school year and graduate. Darien immediately gets a job as a cashier at a gas station near his house and Caleb goes to Camp to learn how to become a Police Officer. And in Texas, Kayla does her sophomore and junior year in Texas and then on her eighteenth birthday she gets her own custody back and decides to move back to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where her brother lives. When Kayla and Darien go to see Caleb in the hospital, Kayla admits some stuff to Caleb that she hasn't told her brother yet. Later, she finds out she’s pregnant. Oh no. Whatever will she do? Will she tell the baby’s daddy she’s pregnant or will she keep it a secret and only tell close family and friends?
