I was walking past the sketchy part of town, hoping to go by unnoticed seemed to be a reasonable plan until I saw a man with a gun to his head.
So like what any other normal girl would do I tackled him.
"What the fuck! Get the hell off me little gir-"
An ear piercing cry rang from the gun as it rammed into the man's skull. His eyes rolled back only showing the whites of his eyes he dropped lifelessly to the asphalt.
I take a few steps away, afraid that I may have just caused a man's death.
I bump into a lean figure and turned around to he met with the most bluest eyes I've ever seen. "Damn..." I find myself mutter. The man chuckles, he reaches his hand out for me to shake. I gently take his callused hand in my own and shake it thoughtfully.
"Thanks for saving me out there doll. I owe you." He whispers I to my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
Little did I know, that was the worst mistake I've ever made.
One thing I knew was that...
I secretly loved it.

Reaching my hand into the drawer, I felt around until my hand came into contact with the metal hilt. My fingers curled around the handle instinctively. I gripped the handle so hard it hurt. I could feel the tendons in my wrist snap as my knuckles turned white. I couldn't let him do that to her again. I just couldn't. I had to protect her. Although it was more like a sibilant hiss, it sounded more like a large grating sound in my ears. My heart was pounding and my ears were ringing. I could feel my hand holding the blade tremble as I slowly drew it out of the drawer and held it to my side. I had to steel myself for my confrontation. I couldn't hide in the shadows any longer.
