Olena "Oli" Larson-Margevic is an 18-year-old girl entering her senior year of high school in a small town in North Dakota. With so much excitement about the unknown, she is looking to make this the best last year at home before heading off to college. When she bumps into 19-year-old Alexander Ironhorse, just another boy from the reservation and is called "White Girl",  she becomes determined to prove him wrong: She's not just some "White Girl". Through this journey of finding herself, the two follow a separate journey together, though, they don't know that yet.
