The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.  Kesley has resorted to an eating disorder to lose weight.  

Her father Johnston is a cop and drinks to relieve the pain of his failed marriage. He is under stress because people in the neighborhood have been disappearing left and right, and wants justice to come to those who lost their family.

 Cail has been getting bullied since he was a young boy, and wants to finally be in charge.
