Heartbreak. Betrayal. Confusion. Loss.

That's the last thing i saw in his eyes. What used to be love was now filled with tears.

Tears started forming in my eyes the longer i stood there. The words that i told him, still swarming through my head.

I wish i could it take it back...but the damage has already been done. All that was left to do is run.

Run away. That's what i do every single time a problem comes up.

When i was 9 and my stepdad started abusing me? I ran away. Didn't look back. Got into foster care.

When my foster parents had enough of me and threatened to send me to jail for stealing jewelry, I ran away then too.

I have never had a real home until Shawn Peters ran into me that day in the supermarket. God, he was beautiful.

But all that doesn't matter now.

I left him. In our house. In our living room. In our car.

i only did that because i was scared. I was falling in love with him- no scratch that! I was in love with him!

I didn't deserve him.

I didn't deserve his love. His protection.

He gave me his heart and like the greedy little gopher i am, i took it. I took it and crushed it into tiny, itty, bitty pieces. Pieces he won't be able to pick up.

Now i'm driving. Driving far away. Italy, France, Russia, Greece. The further away the better.

Because if i did ever see him again, i would run back into his arms and when the love starts forming, i'll crush his heart again. 'Cause that's the one thing i'm good at in this world.
