During the Victorian Era, life was about stature and being high in society. Fancy dresses, debuts, and balls, all things that Serena had. She made her debut, had many fancy dresses, and was the talk of society until the accident. Fire tore through her home, the thick smoke causing her to go mute, and she was no longer wanted. The silhouette of the man that saved her, the only thing she remembered, was the only hope she held.
