Being modest was a trait that I most certainly had. The ability to admit that I wasn't a genius. That much was made clear when a number of amazingly intellectual people began making their way into my life. I was, however, quite bright. Which is why it caught me by surprise when I got two fairly important facts wrong in close succession. These facts were, unfortunately, intertwined.
