"You don't even want me, so stop acting like you care!" My screams we're cut off when Ace suddenly shoved my back into the wall, immediately feeling pain shoot up my spine. "Who told you that? Was it the little pussy you've been running around with lately!?" His words confused me. He thought I was the one who was sleeping with someone? "Who?!" He was seething, the rage evident on his face. At this point, I knew that his wolf had surfaced. "Z-Zach," I stuttered, afraid of what Ace's next move was going to be. Instead of growling even more, he stopped and let out a sadistic laugh. The sound caused me to tremble in my spot as I watched him back away and head for the door. "Don't do something you're going to regret," I pleaded nervously. All he did was shoot me one last look before he stormed out the door.

"I said look at me," he growled as he grabbed my arm from the Gamma in a vice grip. I winced and finally looked up to his stunning grey eyes. 'Mate!' my wolf yipped happily, although she was very weak she got to sound very excited, but I didn't. I didn't want a mate, one that I am putting in danger. Those people said they would find me no matter where I ran to, I couldn't put my mate or his pack in danger. My wolf whimpered knowing it was the truth. "Kitten," my mate purred, before he growled, "mine!" softly as he let go of my arm and lightly touched my cheek, now I felt the sparks firing on my skin. 'Kitten? Was this guy for real?! Did it look like I had whiskers and meowed?' I mentally scolded at him.
