Keith is an insecure omega. For his whole life, he told people he was an Alpha after an incident that happened. Only Shiro and Pidge knew he was an Omega. Shiro on the other hand was different then other Alphas. He had a cycle for when he went into ruts and it just so happened to land on the same week as Keiths heat. When everything was about to turn around in Keiths life, another alpha stepped in and defended him and protected him. Keith had always loved lance, but he isn't sure about lance returning his feelings.
Lance had his suspicions of Keith being either Alpha or omega. He knew his scent didn't really scream Beta. He knew whoever Keith was, he would love him dearly but he had hoped Keith would love him back. When he picked up a scent of an Omega in danger, he lost control. He knew it was Keith. He didn't care if he hurt his teammates, as long as Keith was safe.
Both Lance and Keith loved each other but never told each other. But one slip up can change their world and the future.
