A story about Mo Yuan and Bai Qian

The story uses most of the details in the tv drama. Bai Qian and Ye Hua are still engaged.  And now High God Mo Yuan is missing.

This is my first attempt at writing a fanfic. Reading and re-reading all the Mo Yuan and Bai Qian stories from my fav Ten Miles writers inspired me. I have also taken on some of the rich background they have created.

From the moment he appeared Mo Yuan had me swooning. The ending of the tv drama shocked me - I really though Bai Qian and Mo Yuan would be together, especially considering she spent 70 000 years waiting for him and feeding him her heart's blood. That she paid little attention to him on his return or in Ye Hua's absence also made no sense. That's what made me try this.

Disclaimer: I don't own these characters or the original story. The main characters are from the drama series Eternal Love: Three Miles of Peach Blossoms.  I have used aspects of story from my favourite Ten Miles writers (please let me know if you'd like a credit).

This story is about the birth and development of the best friendship between Donghua Dijun and his little fox. In my re-imagined story, I am attempting to give our beloved leads a genuine chance at love with their own thoughts, behaviors, and desires. Granted, life is full of misunderstandings, obstacles and karma. Donghua learns that being a heartless god has its consequences. Having been careless and inconsiderate with the hearts of those who had fawned over him, he'll find it difficult to fulfill his. At its very core, this is a character-driven story about healing from trauma and the growth of a deep and meaningful friendship. It also attempts to explore the coming of age of love and desire for each of them. Those who can't tolerate slow burns should avoid reading this story ;) They meet much later, (she never becomes his maid) and was not involved in the BQ/Su Su/YH situation. Xiao Bai is young and very innocent as this story unfolds. Donghua is arrogant and obtuse, though with more playfulness and tenderness in the style of The Pillow Book. His edges are much softer. There are quite a few characters from the original series. Zhe Yan, Mo Yuan, Bai Zhen, Bai Qian, Ye Hua, Lian Song, Si Ming and Zhong Lin will make appearances, plus others from Eternal Love and ELOD. Lust + desire will play a part of this story so mature themes/content in later chapters. Reader discretion advised. Story is also LGBTQ+ friendly, as am I. This story and the characters are based on Tangi Gongzi's Three Lives Three Worlds, the Pillow Book, and TMOPB. In this instance, Bai Qian never helped seal Qing Cang's bell which sent her to the mortal realm where she met Ye Hua. This story takes place just as Mo Yuan is about to wake up and goes from there. I am not Chinese and I do not know all of the myths that are involved when it comes to this world. Please excuse me while I use some creative leeway that may not make complete sense as I try to fill in the blanks. Mo Yuan is only five thousand years older than Bai Qian whereas Zhe Yan is the same age as in the Drama. Ye Hua does not exist in this story. All characters in this story have been borrowed from the Chinese Drama Series, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and remain the property of the production crew, writers, screen writers and whoever else put the best Drama ever to come out of China together.
