*This one just hit a little too close to home :) I'll come back to it, maybe, but the breakdown wasn't worth it ya'll, sorry.* What if Minos never found Nico? What if, instead, he was taken in by a mortal family, devastated by grief and desperate to escape the world that had killed his family? What if he'd never helped in the Second Titan War, with the demigods barely winning, Hades stepping in at the last moment to give his son a world to return to, if he chose? What if Nico went to the Underworld, still searching for his sister, returning with Hazel but leaving afterward? What if he hadn't transported the Athena Parthenos, leaving that task to his sister and Reyna? What if, through all this, Nico was living through his own hell? He didn't need to fight in a war to suffer. He didn't need to go through hell to feel it. He didn't need to keep saving the world and being rejected to understand that pain. What if, four years after the Second War, Nico shows up again? Will Solace is done with the gods. He's finally graduated, received his father's blessing, and settled down. But what happens when a demigod everyone thought was dead for eight years shows up at his door asking for his ex-roommate, Percy Jackson? Trigger Warning: Abuse, violence, PTSD, panic attacks, etc. *I do my best to update this and my other side story on Mondays and Thursdays at 7pm MST. Hope you enjoy :)* Cover isn't mine, I don't own any PJO or HOO plot or characters

Waking up face down in mud sucks any day of the week. But coming around in the sludge of a strange realm...? Well, that just redefines a bad day altogether. Trapped in an unfamiliar world, sixteen-year-old Quinn is frustrated that none of the strange Tree People appreciate his urgency to get back home to earth. Now he is faced with a choice that could change the course of his life: escape and find his own way home, or stay and help them find the cause of the poison ravishing their world. When the mind-reader unlocks one of the ancient mysteries of the Tree People it points to the only way of saving them from annihilation: they have to find the Power of Light. What exactly that means, the mind-reader doesn't reveal, but his next warning comes as a shock to all present: finding the mysterious Power of Light can only be done with the help of the dangerous enemy tribe whom they once called family. Quinn soon finds himself a little more entangled in the lives of these gifted beings than he'd care to be. Especially after meeting Jazz: the feisty girl from his world who seems to be a regular visitor to the world of Zoay. To Quinn's constant frustration, the aqua-eyed pixie makes it clear that she's not there to make friends. On their journey they'll brave bizarre encounters in dangerous alien forests, while sacrificing pride and will for the survival of all. Along the way Quinn finds more than he ever thought to seek: purpose, fulfillment and love. When the Power of Light is finally found a devastating discovery is made: if all of Zoay-including their enemy-want to live and prosper, one must be willing to sacrifice their life.

A long journey that I literally walked through the fire to save. It was the one thing I managed to save when my house burned to the ground a year ago. I'm putting it out here for the first time for people to read. Please let me know what you think and thank you for taking the time. Hopefully we'll continue to enjoy this journey together. This is a tale of Slade, a young boy who was convinced his life didn't matter. He lives in a massive empire that was carved out of hundreds of frightened villages centuries ago during the Long Night. Now what was once an army of adventurers and guild members is now one of the greatest forces in the world. But strange forces seek to undo all of this when the Withered Hand unleashes a sleeping sickness that deprives of waking child of tomorrow. Slade and his friends are the only ones that manage to escape the clutches of the Nightmare King. Now, with the help of the ancient wizard Rune, they will travel the Empire, enlisting the aid of the sage Guilds, each keepers of a different type of knowledge and skill, to find a way to wake the children of the Empire once again. *Each of the 4 guilds has a special focus of knowledge. They are: The Engineers: Designers and builders of machinery The Sorcerers: The keepers of the arcane and magic The Alchemists: The workers of change and transmutation, seeing what can be changed from one element to the next The Apothecaries: Keepers of the body. Makers of tinctures, salves, potions and other remedy to ailments of the body and mind.

Going Your Own Way, but with Magic

24 parts Complete

Being 16 sucks. Being 16 and running away after you burn down a library with flames you shoot from your hands, trying to carve out a place in the world for yourself while understanding this strange curse double sucks. Getting interrupted from figuring out magic completely on your own by an evil witch with plans to take over the world by doing *extremely* gross things to dead bodies triple sucks. Add in a pet mouse, a hot boy who shows up halfway through and amounts of emotional suppression never before known to mankind and you get a rough approximation of Max's life.
