" Why are you like this", Can whispered softly, still pressed against the wall by two firm hands on his waist. " If you knew, you would hate me more than you already do ", Tin hung his head low, chestnut bangs fully covering his harsh brown eyes. Can laughed rudely " And why would that make a difference to either of us. We hate each other already, don't we ?" Tin let go of Can's waist and took a step back, eyes still hooded by his hair, he said in what sounded to Can like an almost hurt tone, " You hate me, I never said I hated you though" Then turning on his heel, Tin ran into the rain, leaving an awestruck Can alone under the shelter of the IC campus.

*SPOTIFY PLAYLIST FOR THIS STORY: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2gm2TVJ4xguaJ3pZmBBNCn *SPINOFF OF THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY, EXPECT BASED ON CONRADS LIFE IN CALIFORNIA* Jeremiah and Belly ended up together. That summer was over, and so was Conrad Fisher's quiet heartbreak. By the time he returned to Stanford for medical school, Conrad had finally begun to let Belly go. The ache dulled, replaced with the fierce focus of becoming a doctor. He thought he knew what he wanted-control, certainty, and maybe, if he was lucky, peace. Enter Ophelia Sinclair. Ophelia was brilliant, competitive, and utterly impossible. The kind of girl who corrected professors under her breath, the kind of girl who lived and breathed ambition. The kind of girl who got under Conrad's skin the moment she looked at him and smirked. They clashed from day one. Every lecture, every lab, every case study-Conrad and Ophelia butted heads like it was sport. And when word spread about a single, highly-coveted internship at the hospital, their rivalry sharpened into something electric. Both of them wanted it. Neither of them was willing to back down. But the line between rivalry and something more has a way of blurring. Between late-night study sessions, stolen glances in the anatomy lab, and the walls they both swore they'd never let down... Conrad and Ophelia's story becomes more than just about medicine. It becomes about love. The dangerous, consuming kind you don't plan for-the kind Conrad never thought he'd find again. Enemies. Rivals. Lovers.
