Zodiacs, a belt of the heavens within about 8° either side of the ecliptic, including all apparent positions of the sun, moon, and most familiar planets. It is divided into twelve equal divisions or signs. Each Zodiac has their own name, symbol, animal, object, and God to go along with it.
Now, imagine, a world filled fully inhabited by animals. No humans, just animals that have evolved through generations and generations of life. This, however, resulted in bigger species getting smaller, and smaller.The only exception of animals NOT evolving, are the Gods.
Of course, these evolutions never included magic or any sort truly abnormal.
These animals did however, have some more, dominant, species'. Such as cats, foxes, and more lived naturally, and normally, the food chain stays, the ecosystem stays, everything. They, despite being mildly different species and have different roles in the environment, they all follow the Gods.
But of course, Gods makes mistakes, and not every creature stay faithful forever.
And even the Gods, had to get their paws and hooves mixed to try and stop this one faithless creature.
