Just Ten Days

Six years had passed when Omkara finally decided it was time to move his relationship with Gauri forward. Six years ago, Gauri had been pregnant with his child, a responsibility he felt fell on him. He had resolved to stay in the marriage, if only for the sake of their child, determined that his own child wouldn't endure the same pain he had growing up. But how long could a relationship survive without love? Omkara realized he had never really tried to give their relationship a chance. And, over time, Gauri, too, had stopped trying. They remained together, but only as parents to their child, not as husband and wife.

Eventually, Omkara decided to let go of the pretense and focus solely on being a father. But then, Gauri made a simple request: ten days with him. Why ten days? He couldn't begin to understand.
