Casual kisses. It's their thing. It didn't mean anything; really, it was just a way to relieve the tension between them. Adrien could still flirt with Ladybug, and Marinette could start moving on from her crush. They were helping each other; it was completely harmless. 

No harm, no foul, right?

Adrien pressed Marinette against the wall, panting heavily into her ear. He could barely see the outline of her shapely body within the dark supply closet, but he could most definitely feel it. 

"Does this mean anything to you? About us?" Adrien whispered hoarsely to her, his voice rough from his want for Marinette. He kept her caged within his arms; to keep this moment between them and them only. He littered her collarbone and bare shoulder with butterfly kisses, lips only making contact with her skin for a brief second before moving to a different spot. 

He couldn't feel the internal pain that Marinette felt; rather, he felt her nails rake down his clothed back. Adrien released a low groan, pulling away from her neck and gazing into her cerulean eyes. He looked at her with, was that hope? No, that was Marinette's overactive imagination. 

"No." Marinette answered finally, pulling him in until their lips met once more.

Finally, she leaned over and peeked at the corner, where Adrien and Lila were sitting on a bench. Marinette could feel her eyes widening when she saw both lips pressed against each other's, both of them engaged in a kiss, which shattered Marinette's heart. She had hoped that her crush wasn't dating another girl, but here she was, seeing them kiss with her own two eyes. The situation made her upset, but her stomach also hurt from the anger she was feeling. She clenched onto her stomach and willed herself not to cry, but instead, her legs gave way and she landed on her knees, more unsettling anger rushing through her body like large waves. This was too much to handle. As tears escaped from her eyes, Marinette didn't notice the small dark butterfly fluttering towards her. Instead, she covered her face and forced herself not to scream, tried to get up from her knees and walk away, pretending she hadn't seen anything. But it wasn't easy, and when she finally looked up to see the Akuma, it was already too late. One of Marinette's rules had always been not letting Hawk Moth control her, but that all changes when Marinette catches her crush kissing a girl, his new girlfriend.
