Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days.
From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible.
Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect.
"To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it."
For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient.
This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it.
Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.

After an incident three months ago and her parent's divorce, Reina Caverly finds a way to cope: cutting herself. Her mother's a workaholic, her sister is an out of control teenage girl, and her dad disappeared from the face of the planet. She can't even tell her two best friends, Joshua and Megan, about her problems.
Then she meets young and mysterious Calvin Young about to commit suicide by jumping from her school's rooftop which surprised Reina.
