Forsaken

I held the puppy's battered and slowly dying body in my arms. Biting back my tears I lay the small limp body on the floor, taking a deep breath I call to the goddess.

Devine hear my cry,
Lead this soul tonight,
Thy self be true,
Moon, oh Moon,
Heal the lost,
Moon, oh Moon,
Through thy light,
Please lead this soul tonight.

A tear slid down my cheek as my power radiated through my hands.
