Sitting on that cold concrete floor felt like heaven compared to the unbearable silence that filled up the room like a thick fog. The only sound in the room was the crackling and popping of the small fire pit that sat in the middle of the room, bringing some light to the once dark room. It didn't bring warmth.
Haku sat beside his large companion stitching his side. Gold blood stained the human's pale fingers. The golden eyed male didn't even look at the other man, he was pissed that Gold-Blood jumped in front of Haku like that.

Gold-Blood watched Haku stand up and move to the other side of the room and the predator sighed. He didn't get up but lifted his knee up and laid his arm over his knee.

He watched Haku with those glowing blue eyes. "I'll be careful next time."
