Disguised as a pegasus, Princess Luna's daughter must live the live as a normal pony, her mother distances herself from her because she doesn't want her to become something like Nightmare Moon. 

But, after an incident at school, she is ordered to live in Canterlot for the rest of her foal years. Occasionally, she sneaks out of the castle to meet her close friends, getting away with it for years. 

When her friend begins a forbidden romance with the Queen of the Changelings' son, she at first was against it, but later on, she accepts to two together, and sees that the Prince of Changelings isn't as bad as she thought.
