Briar is a Princess, and that is not necessarily a good thing. With 6 older siblings, she is unlikely to ever get the throne, but she is still treated like she is the only heir. And her bad behaviour gets her shipped to a nunnery, to bang some respect into her. But Briar manages to escape and goes to the most permissive place she knows, the City of the Open Sky, Halivaare.

But things are not as rosy as they seem. Briar discovers a plot that may destroy her world and she must do everything to stop it, before it is too late...
