Prologue -
Darkness. Everywhere you looked, there was a deep pit of black, evil and cunning. Hiding secrets, and engulfing oneself to where not even a finger was visible. It was a trap for the kind, home to the wicked, and the power of a demon.
The black void stretched everywhere, up and down, frothing with hate. It was a hate that could destroy even the kindest of souls. Though, even with the surrounding darkness, there was a faint light. A small, red-orange flame twirling playfully, like an innocent child.
It was a tiny flame, yes, but there was a sense of kindness and warmth. It was the only light in this dark cavern, and that made it special. But the darkness doesn't like special things. The darkness wants everything to be corrupt and vicious and vile, like itself. So it slowly swallowed the small flame. But maybe I could save it. Maybe this time I could get to it before it dies. So close. I was so close to touching it. Just one more step...
**right now I'm re-writing the story...this version is far from the new version lol. When the final is done, I'll be publishing a new chapter weekly, so right now everything is at a stand-still. Thanks for understanding!**
Season 4 of The Virus Within
Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again.
When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
