The Demise Individual

On May 2nd, 2042 an air pollution began to leak into the atmosphere causing mas killings through the Earth. People started to drop dead while walking the streets to work, others would suffer days of pain before their lungs would collapse.
It didn't stop until over 65% of the world population were just corpses. People mourned over the loss of their communities for weeks on end.
And then, appeared a girl named Axelia Harmos. Word of her new powers spread quickly through the remaining population. And from then on people would start popping up over the maps, some with simple powers of levitating objects, others with extra strength or speed. They were named the Notables.
Most were curious with the ideas of humans being capable of holding such powers, but most were also angry. Angry that they didn't have any powers themselves. With the little people left a post pollution war broke out. Thus causing, the BreakOut.

The Ravon's, a simple family with a daughter and son were some of the lucky ones. Their entire family had survived the first wipe of the BreakOut. They weren't ever not thankful for this fact and were now extremely protective of their 4 year old son, Whistler, and their 1 year old daughter, Shy. They weren't safe though, not yet at least.
So when they hear news that a war had broken out over the Notables, they pack up their small belongings and head out to their hunting cabin in the woods.
They stayed out of trouble for long enough, keeping their own Notable, Shy, out of reach from the public's eye.
At least they thought so.
