Listen, I'm not going to do one of those "On a dark and stormy night" descriptions, I'm gonna just give you the cold hard truth. Weather you like it or not, or believe it or not is up to you.

Now that that's out of the way my name is Matthew Night. I am what people would call a "lab rat". I was in countless experiments, all because of those stupid scientists and my fa-, sorry I'm getting off track.

Basically, I was used for their sick and twisted experiments. But the main reason I was there, it was so they, changed my DNA, they made me a hybrid, part human and part, well, dragon.

I'll explain the rest inside the book. If you're like me though you're already in and reading my explaining the full thing, so anyways enjoy the story of my suffering and pain. Man it sounds worse when I put it that way.All Rights Reserved

I knew there was always something special about me. I knew I was different from all the other girls. I could feel things before they actually happened, hear things nobody else could. I wasn't normal, there was just something there. In no way though, had I expected to be told that not, was I only half human, but 50% angel, and not an angel of heaven. She would discover the truth upon her arrival. To add intrigue, the latter parts were erased, allowing her to accept them without fear. The system smirked knowingly. This is my second life. I am still utterly confused about how I ended up in this situation. A choker made from my own tears. The man I thought was my big foster brother turned out to be-non-human. And me? I am human; I think I am. I sit in his lap, curled into a ball of loss. I feel so lost; I just don't understand. I claimed them, and then the world ended. It's enough that it ended. Three years ago, when I was twelve, a group of my fathers friends stole me from home one night and took me to a lab. My father, being a scientist, loves to experiment on people. But not me. He promises he would never hurt me. But his friends didn't. As they snuck me into the lab, they hooked me up to wires and monitored my heart rate. However, a thunderstorm hit the building and shorted out the cables. But not before I was hit. My heart rate went up drastically and they pulled out the wires. I was so angry I lost my temper. Turns out we our from a family of shifters but, we would not know thy due to our parents dying when we were young and being adopted. The animal you shift into does not run in blood like people think. Yes, some family's lean more towards one animal but there are occasions where a member will shift into a different animal. It all depends on your personality. There are 22 types of animals you can shift into. Some are common and some are rare. Now we have the birds: the Ravens, the Eagles, the Vultures, and the Falcons. Then we have the felines: the Panthers, the Tigers, the Cougars, the Snow Leopards, the Cheetahs, and the Lions. Then we have our canines: the wolves, the foxes, the coyotes, and the hyena's. Are common because there are the mythical ones too. The flying creatures: the Hippogriffs, the Dragons, the Pegasus's, the Phoenixes, the Thunderbirds. The water creatures: the Sirens, the Mermaids, the Kelpies. The shapeshifting academy is kind of like Hogwarts with the letters and using owls for sending mail. Yes, there is a castle for the academy and no, there isn't any witch or wizards those are supposedly extinct. Now I have to go were going to find out what animal we shift into at the ceremony soon. If only I knew then that there was actually 23 types of shifters ~~~~~~~~~~ I wrote this series when i was very young, so any mistakes or grammar issues, or long descriptions, I am sorry about, but I won't be fixing them anytime soon either.

7/5/2018: #880 in action On a mountaintop farther than the eye could see their was a school, out of sight out of mind. This isn't a regular school, you see, it was a school of hybrids. A different type of species that was unwanted by the humans so they hid the hybrids away. There were many different types of hybrids. There were Neko, also known as cat people, or people with cat-like features, Werewolves, people with wolf-like features. Ghouls, or creatures of the night. There were also those stereotypical hybrids, such as vampires, zombie-like people, mermaid creatures-- the school's least favourite because of their background story-- and more. People didn't like these hybrids because they're different and that makes people fear them. "I'm not like them, you see, I accept everyone as they are, because, well.. I'm one of them! My name is Azura Night and I'm a neko! I have cat ears and retractable claws. On top of that, when I get angry, my eyes turn red! People fear me because of that and it makes it hard to become friends with anyone. That's why I moved here to Hybrid Hall; a place where people like me are welcome."

Most people can tell you exactly which breed of animal and what percentage of that animal they are. Jacob can tell you that he is mixed with a dove. He can't tell you any more that that though. He doesn't know what percentage he is because he is a failed experiment. What happens when Jacob meets Jason? a wolf hybrid with a plan. He has a plan to escape the torture of the scientists. But, he cant do it alone. What happens when a group of five hybrids get together to escape and hopefully save any future people from becoming experiments too?
