"I will marry you, Marielle."

I scoffed. "Denver, if our situation was different, I'll be the happiest woman in the world but that is not the case. I will not marry you just because a stupid piece of paper is commanding us to do so!" I protested as I turned and walked away from him.

I gasped as he wrapped his strong arms around me. I was about to struggle but I froze at the contact of his warm, sweet breath by my neck.

"Marry me." He whispered in my ear. His breath sent delicious shivers to every fiber of my body.

Most stories have their own happy endings, but in reality not all stories end up with happiness. In Marielle's case, she always harbored one-sided feelings for Denver; feelings she knew he can never return in a million years.

What if a series of devastating events bring Marielle and Denver closer? Will this lead to their own happy ending? Or will Marielle just dream of her own ever after?
