Black Pearl (rewriting)

On a small farm in China, Peizhi Jiang is born. Because she is born physically different from everyone else being both Black and Asian, Peizhi lives a silent and reserved life with her big family far from the outside world.

It isn't until a childhood friend of Peizhi's mother, Lady Xiaomeng, pays a visit to seek a good wife for her mysterious son, Zian Xiaomeng, to pay back a debt. In return, the wife shall live nobly and of certain status. To much discretion, that daughter becomes Peizhi. She soon moves with her husband's family and is excited to see beyond her walls though she will miss home.

Unprepared for a world she did not expect nor sign up for, Peizhi faces many struggles and challenges within her marriage and the environment around her. Including her husband being the missing Emperor of this faceless nation. And secrets too heavy to bear on one's shoulders, a permanent outcome is only inevitable.
