Carys Evans and Josh King live in a small town along the Oregon coast, where nothing interesting happens. Ever. They find themselves in opposing social circles. To her, he's just a typical football player; one of the cool kids, unfortunately attractive, and your average jerk. To him, she's a stuck-up know-it-all, who should really just go back to wherever she came from.

Nothing could change they way they feel until one night a terrible accident pulls them together in ways they could never imagine, and into a long-forgotten world brimming with magic and the unknown.

Together, they must find a way back to their world. Little do they realize though, as they move through this new world in an effort to return home, they will become more entangled in its grasp with every step they take. While Carys struggles to understand who she really is, and Josh learns to live with his troubled past, they are both forced to make decisions that will not only affect the rest of their lives, but also the fate of the two worlds that they will be forever strung between.
