"C-can I at least go home after?" I mumble, dizzy from the drug i had just received. The man laughed, his distorted voice making me shiver.
"No, you're going to be here for a long, long time" he stood up, the now empty syringe in his hand shining in the harsh light. He turned and walked to the door on the far side of the room, and as his hand touched the doorknob, he looked back and called out to me:
"Welcome to mint eye. We hope you enjoy your stay"
The sounds of his distorted laughter was the last thing I heard before slipping into a cold, dark unconsciousness.
