John had a troubling childhood, with a father who abandoned him before birth and a mother who spent most her life on drugs and in bars. John would often witness his mother bringing home multiple men, using her body for money.

Sabrina had everything John wanted, the perfect family, a loving mother and father, 2 siblings - a younger sister and older brother.

Waterale was located in northern England, a small town where everyone talks.
