A woman named Olivia Johnson was a lonely woman with nowhere to go, no home and no one to call her soulmate in the cruel world of manipulative people, who were ready to take anyone down to their grave.
It was until, One day, A kind man came into her life. She didn't understand why someone as sweet and handsome as him, would pick something she considered herself as, Useless. She felt her heart race only around him, and felt the source of happiness from him. Something she only thought fairytales had.
But, The man, Jackson Hunter, saw something in Olivia that makes her so different. Something so rare, he would give everything he had, just to have her be his. She gave out the aura of kindness and unconditional love, something he had longed for, something he couldn't find in anyone for years.
They both felt the same way for each other but didn't realize until they revealed their tattoos.
They were soulmates, or at least, they felt like they were. Although the tattoos didn't exactly match, they were still in love.
They soon ran away together from their disapproving parents and became inseparable. It was all until one day, They wanted to start a family.
All was going well, until one day, the day that changed everything.
Jackson changed as soon as their Daughter, Elizabeth Riana Hunter, was born.
He wasn't the loving husband Olivia fell for, and became an alcoholic. They fought more times than ever, leaving Elizabeth to witness what of a mistake she thought she was, for coming to this world so early.

Elizabeth soon turned 5 years old when she heard that she wasn't going to be alone, a sibling, a new family member was all she wished for. She didn't know the personal hell she was about to enter as soon as she heard the crying of her newborn baby sister, Amelia Tiffany Hunter.

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. But instead, my life turned out to be the opposite of normal. And so it was for Chiara, Blake, Jake, Rowan, Nova, and Dijon. To tell our story, we need to go all the way back to the beginning. Before we were even born. It all started 30 years ago. April 5, 2003. a class got into an accident and when the survivors woke up, they realized something was wrong. they got powers , they got taken by scientist who started calling them the hollows. It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be?
