The Insurgency

In the year 2134 a scientist finally figured out how create a new life. After many failures they ended up a creating a creature that would soon destroy mankind. They have enhanced strength and senses, as well as the gift of flight. These creatures are commonly known as Manna and have spread to take up two thirds of the world's population. Due to they're longer life span and ability to reproduce with either gender.

Fifty years later they have destroyed almost all the the world's cities and rebuilt their own societies, leaving humans to be slaves or killed. Whatever humans survived are left in hiding and spend most of their lives on the run.

This was the case of 16 year old Elara, she and her father have spent their whole lives running from the Manna and trying to survive off whatever they could find. But one night, when Elara's father doesn't return from a trip to town, things all change. Left to survive on her own Elara runs into a mysterious man, who claims to be part of a rebellion again Manna. One by the name of the Insurgency.

Everything about this screams trouble, but Elara's never been one to listen to her gut anyway.
